    Community Style Acupuncture

Our acupuncture is performed in a community setting, the way it has been practiced in China for thousands of years. At Left Hand Community Acupuncture (LHCA) we have a community room with six massage tables and five recliners. In this setting several people can receive treatments at the same time; this creates a unique healing atmosphere that you won’t find at a traditional acupuncture clinic. We talk in low voices in the community room in order to respect privacy. If you ever feel that you don’t have enough time to talk to a practitioner, we would be happy to schedule a phone appointment with you.

    Flexible Payment

We have a sliding fee scale ranging from $40-$65 per treatment. You pay what you can. We offer a payment chart for you to reference if you are having trouble deciding what to pay. We do not need proof of your income or financial status; you simply pay what you can on the day you come in. There is an additional $15 intake fee on your first visit. Our clinic model is designed to make acupuncture an affordable healthcare option for everyone. We accept cash, check and credit card (MC and Visa).

    Treatment Frequency

Acupuncture is most effective when treatments are consistent and frequent. When your symptoms are most aggravating, we want to see you at least two if not four times per week. As you begin to feel better and better, see us once a week for maintenance. When you’re back to 100%, take a break. Every person is unique and we all respond differently to treatments. Your practitioner will go over an individualized treatment plan with you to help you reach your goals and to get the results that you desire. Proper healing takes time so please be patient with your body.

    Alternative Medicine

Acupuncture offers a great alternative or compliment to traditional medicine to treat such conditions as IBS, allergies, insomnia, PMS, depression, and anxiety.

    Pain Relief

One of the most common reasons people seek out Acupuncture therapy is for pain relief. Acupuncture can be effective for almost any type of pain including pain from acute injuries such as ankle sprains or post-operatively. It can also be effective for chronic pain like back pain, neck pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, plantar fasciitis and migraines.

    Give Back

As many of you are aware, there are members of our community who are not always able to afford their visits to LHCA. Some are forced to give up their treatments here in order to pay instead for food, rent, and medical bills. If finances allow, please consider donating half or a full treatment to a patient who's struggling to pay the bills! All donations and acceptance of donated treatments will be kept anonymous. ~ Thank you, Caroline & the LHCA Team
